Hello! Time for another blog post! I think my last one was two months ago and a lot has happened since 😊

We have been attending a ton of historical recreation events so I still have many photos to share, hope you don't hate those! It's been really fun! We are exhausted and all out of social battery however so we are taking it easy this month. Another thing that's been happening a lot is that even when we are not dressed in historical clothing we keep getting stopped by strangers on the street because of our everyday outfits, it's been like that for a couple of years now so we are no longer startled or nervous about it but it's happening more and more often now and it's so nice! we always end up chatting about the events we go to and our jobs and hobbies and exchanging contacts or they ask for photos and stuff! people are really kind and excited about it and I still find it so surprising in the best way. We grew up in a very hostile city and environment and that makes you paranoid and cynical so these interactions and response has been healing really. I know their words will stick with us for years to come 😭 Sadly the unbearable heat is starting though so that means our outings for the next three months will be limited to the crack of dawn and after sunset 😞 but at least the summer brings a lot of fruit with it so we can sit at home and eat pineapples and strawberries while we wait for autumn.

My family came to visit a few months ago too and we made them watch most of Doctor Who's season one to four and some of our favourite episodes from all the other seasons lmao. And much to our delight they really enjoyed it!! They both loved Ten the most and my step dad is now in love with Martha 🥰

We have also been watching the current season and it's been so fun keeping up with fandom theories in real time and talking about it and speculating with friends in person, it's the first time we get a chance to do it since we got into the series and we are enjoying it a lot!

We also watched season one of Jessica Jones and we loved David's performance as Kilgrave!! He stole the show for real. Kilgrave is such an incredible villain, one of the best I've seen and DT does such an amazing job portraying every aspect of him. He's detestable and volatile and frighteningly powerful and has such an intimidating terrifying presence in the narrative while also being pathetic and vulnerable and ridiculous and childish and so human with all it's worrying implications. It was just so gripping and I wish he had stayed for the rest of the show honestly!! Now we have to pick our next David Tennant series to watch! 😊

Also!! Dragon Age is back!! AHHH I wanted to thank everyone that commented on my last DA pieces, it has made my month to read the comments, I didn't expect so many people to remember my art or my character after so many years and it's so touching and flattering you have no idea 😭💘 I look forward to making more and sharing them with you all, I'm truly grateful for the kindness you've shown me both back then and now I hope you know.

I feel so spoiled lately with all these franchises that I love releasing new content!! I've never been in these many fandoms at once!! I have so many ideas to draw and keep jumping back and forth between drawings from different shows and games AAAAA it's a good and welcome change honestly, keeps me busy and inspired!

Finally, the Queen and Princess of Gluttony are here!!

Truth be told though, I got my Beelzebub done sometime last year (Summer or Fall I don't remember) but wanted to wait until I got my Kesha!Bee redesign done before posting her up in full because I need to talk about canon!Bee.

Which also explains the coloring differences between the two pics but heh...

About Beelzebub in canon:

Honestly, I don't mind her design. think it's cute in a vacuum but at the same time it's pretty busy with the many colors and things going on. I prefer her Mastermind look honestly, she slayed in that outfit and it went simple on the colors (also think it fits with her animal tamer motif she's suppose to have because 'sins being a circus trope' but it's poorly done, if barely there):

I do dig the fuck out of her hair and tail. Just how flowy it is it reminds me of honey, which is fitting because BEEzlebub. The lava lamp stomach is cool too but I feel in a vacuum being as I said, her design is busy as it is (though I do think having a simple color scheme like in her Mastermind outfit does make it a little less attention grabbing).

I think her personality is fine too, for the most part. Sometimes she can get a little grating but overall I don't dislike her character. I like the idea of the party girl vibe she has going considering that Gluttony isn't just over consumption of food but of anything so her being a party girl who overindulges in drugs and achoal is pretty clever (or at least as clever we're getting out of Hellaverse)

That being said, she never really screamed Queen of Gluttony to me. I know most of the Sins don't act like demons who are thousand of years old which is fine I like the idea they change with the times but they still feel like they could be in their mid/late 30's- 40's putting aside the immoral part but with the case of Beelzebub, she acts a bit too young? I don't know if I'm making sense lol.

Anyway. To the design (and personality) notes:

Queen Bee:

For my Beelzebub, I decided to go with 70's disco queen/Donna Summer's vibes with her. The Gluttony ring in canon already gave 70s vibes with it's architecture. I saw plenty of Beelzebub's that went in the a Rococo era/Marie Antoinette direction which is fitting yeah, but considering it's been done so much and the whole 'party girl' thing canon!Bee has going; I thought it was a good era to take inspiration from.

Speaking of Parties, yes she still host them but not in the same way as her daughter does. Queen Bee's are more formal get togethers like galas but make no mistake, there's plenty of food and drinks to go around. She IS the Embodiment of Gluttony after all.

Despite the whole 70s get up, Queen Bee's view on her Sin is a bit old fashion but she does keep up with the times both because she has to because ya know, she's the Embodiment of Gluttony and she's always open to new interpretations and ways her Sin can be explored. She just happens to dig the 70s era when it comes to aesthetics and such.

Hellhounds were not created by Beelzebub, but come from Cerberus, who predates Hell before Lucifer's Fall and when it was still referred by the The Pits. She and him are married in my AU. I plan talking about Hellhounds more when I write up my Gluttony Ring post in the future.

Princess Bee:

She's basically how canon!Bee is in the show: An unapologetic party girl. I really don't have much to say about her personality honestly. Her full name is 'Princess Beelzebub of Gluttony the 2nd' but everyone calls her 'BB'

Obviously I wanted to make her more Hellhound-ish (I can't draw snoots lol). I regret not adding more bug like features to her but being I'm gonna likely revisit her once I design her dad being I haven't figured out the direction I want to take him yet.

Flowy honey style hair my beloved <3. I wanted to try to see if I could try to do something with the lava lamp stomach but with the jacket and hair I didn't want the design to be too busy.

Yes, I went heavy on the bee them. Bee fuzz faux fur jacket and leg warmers, honeycomb belt buckle, honeycomb pattern on her bra style top. Def has a bumblebee stamp tramp as well kinda like this:

Honestly I don't really have much more to say. Sorry that the notes are kinda bare this time being I didn't have a whole lot to say. But um...yeah...

Remember sweet lil Pthonus (or moss ball, cause he cute like that) wiggled his ears when happy and AH THE FEELS AKLWHJLDLKAJWH SO DAMN CUTE WTF the image in my head is nothing compared to what I drew, my heart- And of course, I drew Ares cause he is, admittedly, my favorite. That and the last time I drew him I honestly didnt feel I did a good job on showing how bbg he is (because he is very bbg). I just UGH I wanna pinch and squish both of them UUUUUH THE CUTENESS AGGRESSION DUDE WTF  

I also gave myself the push to draw him in his outfit because I said nu uh to leather last time ( I think it’s leather Idk am bad at telling shit sometimes) but this time I said F it and did it! And now I know I can do (okay) leather :D Also Phthonus was the first time I tried drawing chubby and afro hair! I was honestly worried I wouldnt be able to do it but I did! (I guess pushing myself for everything else made this possible, so much more confidence!!! RAAAAAH) I really like his hair too 🥹 I developed my “Moss ball” Nickname cause they’re really cute lil buggers to look at and so is he (also- um, broccoli pfff)

(boring life shit) Also was tumbling down for the period of time that I havent posted (started drawing them right after my EXE drawing but my brain went-_AOKJWH)rrrrrrrr *crash* and had to do a hard restart) buuuuut I do feel much better and have another drawing in the works (kinda of a secondary drawing and primary one) the primary WILL be my most dynamic drawing! I will finish/do it damn it!

Personal Rambling below (because I love this game so much)

WARNING MINI ESSAY INCOMING (lmao)

Oh RainCode... Where do I even begin...

RainCode is a game that has changed my life along with likely many other people’s lives. Although the premise of it is fairly straightforward, the characters and atmosphere make this game so much more. The successor to Danganropa is honestly its own unique story and structure, and tbh I think I love and enjoy it far more than Danganronpa. But this game…is just so much more for me.

I truly never expected this game to be such an impact on my life, let alone become my next fixation.

So, for history, I was honestly in no real hurry to get the game on its release date last year, so I got it a day later. On July 1st, I played the game for the first time. And I didn’t think much of it at first. The only thing that was on my mind when I started this game, was that I was positive I was going to be treating the protagonist like Makoto Naegi and Kyoko Kirigiri’s son the whole time.

This was the first post I made about RainCode back on twitter in 2023.

Yeah... Kinda silly when I look at it now... XD But I do still beleive this headcanon.

When I started the game my 2016 fixation of Danganronpa came back a bit. As a previous DR lover, I did make comparisons here and there to all of the characters. Yuma was very much like Naegi with his shy and timid demeanor at first due to having amnesia, and it felt like déjà vu when playing through the start of the game. But then it happened. The moment that solidified Yuma as my next and now permanent target. When he got sick/dizzy on the train... God that moment still lives rent free in my head. (I know the cause of it was different/related to the first mystery/case, but as someone who enjoys any sort of sick whump moment, regardless of if its little crumbs or a whole-ass meal it still counted for me) I was still shy and hid in the shadows with my silly little niche back then, but I told myself. Yep, once I finish this game, I’m writing a sickfic for this game and he’s the victim. (though what surprised me was that I wasn’t alone on that, 3 other people made sickfics with yuma before I did so that was a pleasant surprise xD)

As the game went on it shocked and impressed me in many different forms. I realized that this game isn’t the Danganronpa clone I thought it would be. Sure, it had a lot of similar elements and mirrored mini games like Hangman’s Gambit, Spot Selection, and of course the Conclusion Comic of the whole case, but the story the world and the mysteries were honestly different from the way DR structured them. And it pleased me when not many people from the main team had died. Most of the deaths were of side characters that had appeared in their respective chapters. Which honestly was a breath of fresh air for me, and I think that’s the real reason it’s separate from DR. It’s not as cruel and not as stressful. It’s a lot more chill, but the mysteries were still enough to get me excited and look forward to the next maze I would enter. The mystery labyrinths were probably my favorites elements of the game. They were just so much fun. And every single character was so likeable, (yes even some of the peacekeepers were fun aside of one or two that I absolutely despise. mostly yomi and guillame lol but I guess I kinda like yomi a bit more bc of the fandom)

And I grew to love Yuma EVEN more. He is honestly one of the best written protagonists I’ve seen in a long time. It’s hard to do timid protagonists right, but RainCode definitely nailed it with Yuma. He had his moments, but it wasn’t enough to be obnoxious. He also shined in more ways than one. And my god, so many relatable moments… (I have anxiety too xD) He was so charming and cute the whole time and even had his badass moments. This little guy is the whole package and I LOVE him for that. Truly a unique and fun main character that blows every DR protagonist out of the water.

(Yes, I said what I said.)

And the ending, GOOD LORD THE ENDING?? It was so well executed, and the ending twist villain was immediately my second favorite character after the protagonist. I could go on about how much I loved the ending but if I did, we’d be here all day and I don’t want to spoil the entire game…so… I’ll leave it at that.

When I finished the game, I was so satisfied. (Yes I love it more than DR, what are you gonna do about it?) It left me super happy and made me want to make some fan content for it. Though I was still very quiet on twitter and had a feeling since twitter is a more complicated platform, I couldn’t gush about the game too much due to fear of spoiling other people…and when one of your favorite characters is just the whole secret of the game’s core mystery, I couldn’t talk about it too much… >.>

So, then I did the unthinkable. I went back to tumblr… It’s a little embarrassing but this account is actually my old one I had from years ago. I was on tumblr more 2013 to 2017 before I abandoned the site when it no longer seemed fun and there were times that I’d rather forget... (let’s just say that I used to RP with my OCs and…one of my RP ex friends catfished me and it made me feel VERY uncomfortable. I wanted to forget it, so I ran away and never returned.) I was super nervous to come back and try to post again, so my first RC related post was about him being a naegiri child.

After that I began making more edits once I gained access to the sprites and full body arts. I made some Pokémon AU edits because those were always fun, and then I started making feverish edits of Yuma’s sprites. My first post ended up becoming a hit and I caught the attention of some people. They liked what I was doing so it gave me a bit of confidence to continue. I got even more attention, and it made my confidence go up even more.

And then I started trying to draw art again, something I gave up long ago. My first few arts were a little rocky at best, but so many people enjoyed it! One of my older arts ended up becoming pretty popular. Through this my few pieces of art, my many sprite edits, and my first fan fiction (Home Is Where The Heart Is) got me pretty well recognized in the Rain code community on here. So much so that I felt confident enough to give myself a title. The CEO of RainCode Whump or “Whumpcode” and all of this confidence made me decide to turn my blog into a fandom and sick whump blog. It became a full blown obsession that possessed my mind that I've become TOO passionate about. Never thought making these little guys suffer would bring me this much joy... XD

Over time, I’ve drawn more art and written more fics than I ever had for a fandom. Before I never ever made fandom art, and I would usually only write one sickfic per fixation. (my last ones being demon slayer and spy x family) But here I am, making more art pieces than I ever have before (hell even doing a MONTH ART CHALLENGE) and improving even! And having 7 fanfictions of RainCode, 6 with Yuma and one with Makoto. And those two became my prime targets and muses for my art. Drawing them is easier for me and they’re my favorites so it brings me such joy to draw them. I love MakoYuma so much. Maybe not so much romantically, but friendship and familial. They have such potential to be so much, and I adore them. Plus putting them in sicknarios and situations is fun (I think we can all agree on that haha)

I think I’m talking too much, so I will say one more thing. I never thought my fixation on this game would last this long. I was positive it would go away after just a few months at best. The game is great but nothing amazing to keep thinking about for too long for me. But I think the main reason I was able to keep my fixation on this game for almost a year (and ongoing) is because of the fandom. (specifically, the Tumblr fandom, but some people on twitter are cool too) I’m honestly so happy I returned to tumblr and was able to make a name for myself in this community. I have met so many talented artists and creators and even made some new friends (and even got a few apprentices to take under my wing) If it weren’t for everyone’s support, I don’t think I would have ever done this much and made it this far.

I’ve essentially made a platform for myself, and I didn’t think tumblr would be a place I’d check daily ever again. To think this silly little game…would change my life so much and make me happier than I’ve ever been in such a long time. I feel recognized and like I belong, I’m finally able to be loud and proud about my passions for sick whump and not worry too much about it, I’ve finally found my prime target and I have fun with him every time, I’ve gotten back into the arts of drawing and writing again and I think I’ve made some of my best work yet, and I’ve met so many wonderful people and even collaborated with them on some fun projects too! (Here's the most popular one and also the first one I did!)  It’s just been…so wonderful… I am so happy to be part of such a chill talented and fantastic community TwT So thank you everyone… this is all thanks to your support… <3

Sorry I’m getting a little mushy here aren’t I… x’D I just couldn’t be more grateful for this game if I tried… So, thank you so much Rain Code, for existing and doing so much for me and making me so happy… I have never had this much fun in a fixation before, and I never felt like I was ever truly part of any fandom and was always just a lurker. It feels so good to finally feel like part of a fandom you love, and also be well liked, admired and accepted by others despite your niche being a little on the odd side… XD

I really hope there will be a sequel for this game, and we’ll see all these wonderful characters again. After all I’ve been through with this title and how much joy and purpose it brought me, consider me a fan for life. I will be dedicated to every future title in this series and play the hell out of it. And I hope it gains a wider audience come October when it is released for more consoles. (Just hoping no weirdos take over and ruin it with stupid drama and horrible things like the DR fandom…)

Though once new fans come in and are also tumblr users…I wonder what they’d even think of me and my place and takes when it comes to this series… XD (hopefully they’ll be nice to me… XD)

A Minstrels Tale

how Tore and Nara ended up at Goth GAR Night

I will probably update this later with better drawings

It was at times like these when Nara questioned her friendship with Tore. She had instinctively wrapped her arms around him when they collided while he held her head against him to protect her from whiplash and caught them both with his other hand so that he didn't completely fall on top of her. “Soooooooo, I have some news!” He gently sang over her with a big smile on his face.

Nara groaned into his cape. “Lovely.” It honestly wasn't uncommon for Tore to make surprise jumps on his friend Nara from time to time, but she noticed at some point that when he did do this particular tackle he was especially excited about something. And today was no exception.

Why couldn't he be normal?

Because normal is boring!

“Whad’ya do this time?” She asked, her voice muffled against his chest. At least when he did tackle her, he made sure that she never hit her head.

Tore quickly pushed them both back up to standing on their feet before he started his excited ramble. “Okay! So there was this kid walkin around Coruscant-” Nara made a face of disgust, “-a different Coruscant I promise-” her eyes narrowed in suspicion, “-anyway this kid was in the pits of despair because a band they had hired bailed on them last minute and they really needed one for this theme night tonight-”

“You did not-” Nara cut him off, looking shocked. She knew what he had done now.

Tore wiggled his eyebrows knowingly. “I DID! So we need Goth costumes and music for a gig at 79’s tonight!” Tore immediately started hoping off to the music room of their ship-

I should mention that we're on a ship of sorts-

Leaving behind an exasperated Nara in his wake. “Tore! Get back here!” Nara chased after him. “It'll take at least a week and a half to get ready for that! What were your plans for fixing that conundrum?!”

Tore spun back with more excitement in his eyes. “So this is the crazy part! In this universe, there's a back room with portals from the other alternate universes and they're all convergin in that bar! Just for a theme night!” Tore was practically vibrating from excitement. “We can use a time portal to get there with plenty of time to prepare! IT'S FANTASTIC!” He jumped wildly into the air and nearly crashed into a few guitars and lutes, earning a head shake from Nara.

She was smiling though as it meant that they could take all the time they needed to make outfits and create a song list for the evening without so much rush. But something about this seemed a little off. Tore was way too excited about the fact that they were going to use a time portal. “A time portal would be nice, but what are you really excited about?”

He turned menacingly back towards her while cackling like an evil scientist.

Oh great.

“Anythin could come through those portals! Monsters, bounties, a rare and mystical artifact! The possibilities are endless!!”

Nara looked at him deadpanned. “You're bored aren't you?”

He hung his head and arms dramatically. “I. Am. SO BORED! I'M GONNA TO TEAR DOWN THAT HOUSE JUST SO I CAN REBUILD IT!” He pointed outside to where, if there was a window, you could see a lovely two story house that they had just finished renovating. And knowing Tore, he would do just that.

Nara only nodded. It had been some time since they both had come to this nice island where it was peaceful and full of friendly people. It was a good project that lasted about five months as a way for them to relax, but Tore was a man on the move. That was just how he grew up as his parents were travelers and didn't settle in one place too long. So it was only natural that he would become antsy, looking for a new project or a new adventure or battle. But music was the only thing that could keep him grounded in a place for a long time as long as there was a need for musicians. She placed a hand on her hip and gave him a knowing smile. “So you're taking care of the music?” As much as she questioned Tore, she knew what he needed in order to stay in one spot, and music was his greatest passion. Plus, it didn't hurt to have some mischievous fun. Right?

Tore nodded his head as he saw that his friend had jumped on board with the idea. “And you'll handle the outfits?” He used to think that theme attire wasn't needed until he stayed at her family's estate for five years-

(the longest he ever stayed put, I might add)

-and saw how the many different costumes and clothing could affect the music experience. Then when he tried to make his own, it was mediocre at best. But Nara made some dazzling outfits for him and he was enthralled.

Nara nodded in response. “Just so you know, I know nothing about Goth. So I'll have to do some research.”

Tore snickered. “Me neither!”

After several late nights of creativity and research, they scrambled together a doable song list and outfits. “I think Goth is goin on my ‘don’t do this again’ list.” Tore commented as he flopped down on his bed with a headache.

“Agreed.” Nara spoke from under her pillow. They both found out that the style and the genre was one that they didn't particularly enjoy, but they were committed at this point and were determined to make it a great show! Plus, the excitement of portals was overriding the distaste. “Now I want a monster to come through and we have an epic battle.” She giggled.

Tore laughed. “I wonder how many times you'll be flirted with.”

“How many girls will hit on you?”

“Will there be a bar fight?”

“Underage kids sneaking in?”

Tore turned his head to look at his partner in crime. “Bingo cards?”

Nara turned her head to him and smiled mischievously. “Bingo cards.”

before i caught up with the manga last year, the guild was actually my favorite organization! poe and margaret were my favorites at the time (and now lucy!) especially in the design aspect because both poe and margaret Scream bougie, which was the exact vibe i wish every guild character emanated from their outfits, even if they come from different backgrounds

i don't have a lot of definitive thoughts on her because realisitcally, we don't know much about her

she does appear arrogant and dramatic yes, we've seen her dedication in salvaging the reputation of her family and how that affects how she treats her co-workers (like when she continuously protected hawthorne during his fight with akutagawa) but other than that? i don't have much i can say

i know the guild characters are stuck in the shelf, but if ever we get to explore them again even just as a side story, i'd love to see how she became a guild member, especially her partnership with hawthorne because clearly they've been partnered enough times that she's willing to take the role of defense for hawthorne to the extent that she was sent to a comatose from an extremely fatal attack

like?? even if you don't see her as much during the fight, the times we did see her, she was defending for his sake, not attacking alongside him or even battling without his cooperation like you'd expect from the arrogant woman, i'd love to learn more about how they've come to this type of battle dynamic as a duo

Fun fact i didn’t really have a strong opinion of bots character for a while but then one day i woke up and went “I have an idea for a gjinka” and it caused me to get into their character and now its like my fav gjinka to draw

(Some fun facts about that gjinka design: their head is completely magnetic, and their “hair” is a set of completely removable accessories so their natural state is bald, they can add as much or as little as they want. I LOVE BOT. Even though i have thoughts and opinions about the iffy nature they were implemented overall i love the concept of a character who was made to be someone else and theyve given me a lot to chew on which i appreciate with a character. What really fascinates me about them is how their interactions with other characters play out so id like to talk more about that⬇️

Their relationship with Cabby was what caused me to create the gjinka design in the first place, and then I found a song that made me think of them and i was like Wow. Bot and cabby’s initial impressions of one another being somewhat at odds due to miscommunication but ultimately other factors (cabby’s disability and bot’s suppression of their fake memory- wow they both have memory issues!) was something that lasted a while but then iii14 saw the end of bot’s assumptions of her being strained when they finally had the chance to actually talk with one another. Bot assumed that Cabby was obsessed with finding a way to explain their existence and identity which they very much felt didn’t need an explanation for who they were, but they realized this is only the way cabby processes the world around her they both place importance on identity both with not knowing their pasts and carving a way for their futures the way they are and they can do it together agh i love ittt

With fan and test tube I had stronger opinions about how the circumstances/reasons behind creating them weren’t strong enough and it caused both of their characters to backslide from where they were in ii14 but now i like to look at it and take what i can get from it because i like it when characters do bad and questionable things its interesting to analyze why they did something so selfish. In fan’s case he didnt have a strong connection with bow’s death when it happened beyond being a fan of her bc of his low empathy at the time especially he didnt process it as Death, and he believes he knows everything about bow as the number1 fan so now hes the best person for the job, and test tube coldly decides to recreate the image of a person under the idea shes now using her strengths for a good cause, but shes wrong and she has to learn shes wrong. Theyre not bot’s parents- but it’s easiest for them to describe them that way, since they created them, but that’s not quite how their relationship is at all. Bot has no real familial ties with them, and test tube created them with the sold intention of being somebody other than they are, so that’s always going to stick with them and theyre not just a blindly happy family now. Bot is also a grown adult that doesnt just go away they shouldn’t be infantilized so much. They can be friends with fan and test tube because they now recognize them as Bot but honestly theyd prefer keeping a distance when they can because they wish they were made intentionally or were just a person, but they appreciate being created. Its a pretty unique situation

What really fascinates me the most though is the concepts of how they are in relation to Bow, with the concept of being created as a replication of someone who already exists being so terrifying for both involved. In Bot’s perspective, their conscious is being repressed intentionally to continue living someone else’s life who they never even knew and doesnt identify with. And everyone is acting like its fine and okay when theyre the only one who seems to see how scary this is. They just struggle to grasp with their very existence with the only thing to guide them being a paragraph of a character description and to spew references that dont make sense. In BOWS perspective, she was a celebrity and the most popular contestant in the first season of a reality show, and even after dying on it the fans just screamed for her to “come back” though it was impossible. So her likeness kept getting replicated by both the show (doughs inclusion) and fans (bots creation) who both misrepresented her and she could do nothing but watch it play out. Her death was being denied and other people were living her life just because she was popular on a show, it’s terrifying. Terrifying and despair inducing for both of them theyd both have a disdain for one another on an existential degree, and bot finding their identity is freeing for both of them.

The one and only thing I agreed is that at some point Katara is drawn with more, ahem, "developed" body. This started in Book 3, and... I honestly always concidered it to be the bad thing. Not because I'm a prude (although maybe I am), but because I thought the whole deal of main characters were that they are children. They are kids. Of course, a girl at fourteen can have curves - or not have it - the girls are all different, in the end, both of these cases are normal. But Katara is a drawn character, she looks the way the creators want her to look. And the thing that they drew her "pronounced breasts" and "wider hips" never sat right with me, it always irked me. It doesn't look empowering to me, it looks like sexualization, combined with the fact that in Book 3 she is always drawn with partly or completely loose hair, which is not good for battle at all, but looks more aestetically appealing (but that's only my point of view). I prefer her Book 1 and 2 designs any time.

What also irks me is zutarians obsession with "hot, sexy, horny yet naive Katara plus sexy experienced Zuko, the only man who can give her intense sexual pleasure she craves so much" idea. No wonder they cheer when Katara looks older and drool over her "revealing" Fire Nation outfit, it all aligns with their fantasies.

Also, the choise of proof screenshots is hilarious. Three of them are drawn by one studio, the top right one and the final one - by the other. "Wider" or "narrower" eyes are just the result of different drawing styles. For example - the same studio that pictured Katara as "honestly creepy, like a babydoll" draws her in the scenes with Zuko:

The necklace scene, the catacombs, the battle against Azula. Same baby face with big eyes. And, dare I mention, in first two seasons her breasts are only slightly hinted at, which doesn't stop zutarians from sexualizing these scenes.

The lenghs they'll go to justify their sexual fantasies... Ew.

I'm gonna be real, Katara wasn't really sexualized by the show. I can only think of two scenes in which I got any kind of fanservice vibe from it (both included her bathing in a waterfall). People are just weird about girls, especially non-white girls, going through puberty, and zutarians in particular want to adultify Katara no matter what to go "See? She's too old for Aang, but not too young for Zuko, even though the age gap is the same!"

Acknowledging "Girls have breasts" is not the same as drawing her in a sexy way, much like not every scene of male characters firebending without shirts on was sexualization. The hair down also doesn't strike me as trying to make her look desirable, just a little bit older - the passage of time is not sexual.

For fucks sake, even a scene like Sokka clearly getting ready to "have fun" with Suki wasn't anything that would be inappropriate for children to see and it's just acknowledging the basic fact of "Sometimes teenagers wanna do more than kiss each other."

If you want to see the characters be sexualized, look at the Fire Nation teens, especially Ty Lee and Zuko - and I'm okay with that because they're not real teens. They're lines in a piece of paper. No minor is being exploited or put in an inappropriate situation, and considering Nickelodeon has a history of sexualizing REAL children in the live action shows, I just don't care that Avatar let Ty Lee wear a bikini or made Zuko attract a bunch of girls by dramatically taking off his shirt at the beach. They're not being harmed, just like no real child was harmed when Ozai disfigured his own son.

These characters age matters when it comes to understanding their reasonings and the ocasional "immature/naive" reaction, and nothing else. And once again, the show didn't really do anything too crazy.

VIP (Very Important Prefect) collection

I’ve drawn more in the past few months than I did the entirety of last year.

These are in order and it's really funny to me to look at them and be like hey where did that artstyle come from??? this does not matter to any of you bc I never post art here so You can't tell. but this is nothing like the way I drew pre getting big into twst. I also used to struggle really heavily with drawing little things for fun?? Stuff akin to the blazing jewel thing, like I had to draw with the intention of drawing an entire thing or when I did do little stuff it was because I was really frustrated and couldn’t draw anything at all and had to try and force something out or I’d go insane. But now I’m skipping through a field of flowers under a rainbow. Art has become a real yippee activity. AND ITS ALL THAT STUPID CROW’S FAULT. Like yeh yeh I guess the way to get better at art really is to go insane about the character. Real tried and tested method. But I think this is the first time I’ve for real gotten better. My character interactions are better, their interactions with the world in general are better, my forms have more weight, I’m so much faster than I was before, I’m enjoying myself, I am simply no longer the struggler!!

I don't like the way my playful land one turned out and you can tell (Well I can tell) I was having problems with the face n stuff but it's important to me and I think that one shows more than anything else how my art changed. Very rapidly mind you. Also I like the outfit so I couldn’t just nooooot post it. My mental illness that says I must draw an outfit for every event also says i must post it actually. I have a couple more playful land/fellow stuff and HONESTLY I just need to redraw it all🧍‍♂️ I was struggling really bad with my art pre-twst and the first couple months of playing before the ability to draw again hit me like a train and so I look at the couple things I did manage to force my hands to comply with and I’m just clenching my fist bc I know I can do better.

The last one is the only for real wip on here and it’s also the one I’ve struggled the most with recently. Which is kinda antithetical to everything I’ve said about yay yippee art, but I tried to draw it and it pissed me off so bad I had to put it in the hell folder (the folder where I put things I’m so unhappy with I know they’re a dead end and I can’t look at them anymore but they’re also important to understand what I’ve done wrong so I can’t delete them) which is the first hell folder use this year! I was like “this isn’t working. what if I just made it into this instead” and then it looked bad and I was unhappy with it and it’s just not what I wanted, but thats because I had fallen into my old ways of not using my lines and simple shapes properly and getting really frustrated while drawing and trying to force it. I went back the next day new canvas and redid it from scratch perfectly first try and it’s perhaps my most favourite thing I’ve ever drawn. And I will finish it. Trust🫡 There’s a first time for everything!!!! It’s too nice and silly and cute to just leave collecting dust. Maybe I’ll even colour it oooooo

ooh, i have quite a few thoughts about both, sorry if i start rambling a lot xD (i probably won't mention everything)(we'll be here for years)

both of them have good parts and bad parts, to be honest (as does most things) and i'll yap extensively about it under the cut:

like, i've watched the three versions of peabody and sherman, and i think the film has the best dynamic of the two? it's just this honestly pretty wholesome depiction of a single father raising a chaotic but well-meaning child, and struggling with how others treat him due to his identity. big ol' comfort film for me (cause i've been in sherman's position), and has been for a while. also love the little call backs to the classic... i own the artbook to this film, and it really does feel like a respectful adaptation, love to see it.

though, some of the ideas are a little muddled, like... i get that one of the film's messages is about allowing your kid to grow up and be independent (whilst still giving support, of course) but peabody was out here like "here, my son, drive this high-tech time travelling machine" by the end of the film xD. i get that they were working together to sort out the wormhole issue, but sherman is seven (and a half)... a big responsibility to put onto such a young kid to drive that thing (even if he wanted to). it's like if peabody gave sherman the keys to his car and told him to have a test drive lol. amusing, but confusing.

also penny. i don't like her at all xD. i hate that sherman went from "she hates me! and i hate her!" to "ooh i wanna see her brush her hair~" like. what. she was insulting your dad for something he can't help, and choking you 10 minutes ago (they should've been friends by the end of the film, not love interests). penny is the reason the conflict with grunion happens in the first place, and she basically gets away with bullying sherman. realistic? sure, they would likely believe the innocent smart girl with a traditional family over the new boy with an non-traditional family, but she seems to have no remorse for what she did. like, one scene that irks me is that she brought up the whole grunion thing to peabody with sherman (who didn't know about it) also there, and blames peabody for it happening. i think the line was "if you're such a great dad, then why is ms.grunion trying to take sherman away?" or something... she started ALL of this happening by her jealousy of sherman knowing more than she does, and then blames peabody after sherman bit her in self-defense?? yikes girl.

i at least love that peabody is 100% done with her. same, king.

as for tmpass... i love the art of it, especially the backgrounds and colours. heck, i've taken inspiration of the backgrounds for my own art (shoutout to sylvia liu) and the animation is very unique and expressive. and i love that they have all these outfits for peabody and sherman too. and that secret agent episode ruined my life in a good way xD. and that apocalypse episode was fun too. yesss give me that one-eyed crazy canine

buuuut ehhh the show is kinda hit or miss for me :') at least it's entertaining lol

i've seen other people bring it up, and i agree: they treated peabody so harshly in this show. like, he's been through enough with the discrimination bs, and yet there were multiple episodes of him lowkey having a mental breakdown because something doesn't go right or he's overwhelmed by everything, and it's sad to watch. i think sherman's chaotic energy rubbed off onto him too, cause he also lost half of his braincells and his going crazy ahh going stupid ahh. take that dog to therapy

i think the film had peabody at his best, ngl. i love the classic, i love how snarky he is, how he's basically playing god with how he's able to bend logic to suit him xD. but idk, the film balances this sass and intelligence with something more wholesome and sweet. i like. tmpass made him a little too chaotic for his character, me thinks... sherman is fine in all versions though. no matter what it just works for him lmao. go lad!

aaaaaand i get that tmpass is it's own separate thing, but there's two things that really irk me about it when you think about the other versions:

so in the classic, the wabac machine was made as a gift for sherman's birthday, so he could get more running room. heck, peabody even altered the machine so that sherman could understand the historical figures, and the historical figures wouldn't be rude to him. it was honestly such an adorable main part of their dynamic. AND THEN TMPASS CAME ALONG AND WAS LIKE "hey so what if peabody made the time machine BEFORE sherman and his main inspiration was this RANDOM SAUSAGE MAN". whyyyyyyyyy!! peabody originally made it for sherman, and tmpass stripped away that nice moment!! and how does a sausage man have anything to do with the wabac?? oh, he didn't give up on making sausages?? good for him?? i don't know how that inspired peabody. maybe bro was just hungry, idk.

i really don't get why peabody has foster parents in the show... it's explained in the film (which tmpass carries on from) that peabody came from nothing, no one wanted to adopt him, so he made a life for himself. king got on that GRIND. he even says something like "and now, i want to give him (sherman) the one thing i always wanted. a home", implying that he never had it when he was younger. but then in tmpass he has foster parents? and he DID live in a home? not even the dog shelter, mind you. but an actual house. somehow these two feral dogs got a house? meanwhile peabody was fighting to get custody of sherman and to keep him around?? unless those foster parent dogs HAD owners??

i can get by him having a great great great great ... uncle (duke) because idk, perhaps he did an ancestry tree test one day. but the foster parents thing just doesn't click with me, sorry to say.

but idk, maybe this is some alternative universe peabody cause bro has blue eyes in tmpass and green in mpas.

Raincode forte swap au character introooooos!!!! Part 3!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the last one as far as I know and I have plenty to ramble about! Seriously major spoilers for the og mdarc below the cut! (I super mean it this time)

Gosh I felt like such a mastermind genius writing the other intros and not name dropping The Chief - cuz I already knew Yakou and his Wife are swapping places too!

Introducing Yvette Furio: The Chief of the Nocturnal Detective Agency! I don't have much to say about her design this time honestly... gave her some simple office wear so she can blend in well with the other Kanai Ward residents, made her a little thicker and gave her the dead anime mum side ponytail cuz... well... technically she's dead in more ways then one- (Canonically, chapter 4, homonculi etc etc-). She took over from the previous chief to fulfil a debt she was unable to pay back before he died and keeps a photograph of him on her desk as a reminder to keep pushing forward. Though, it's more like the NDA was living on in spirit, since she doesn't know the first thing about being a detective and The Peacekeepers make it so nobody seeks out detectives anyways. The WDO themselves were never notified of this though, sending their Master Detectives to Kanai Ward thinking they're being put in good hands. Instead... they get a new wine aunt figure in their lives who'll be sobbing about being broke one minute and happily throwing them 20 shien and telling them to "buy yourself something nice, sweetie" the next.

Makoto is by far the most canon inkeeping of all. He's still Number One's homunculus and thus his original personality and demeanour remain more or less unchanged. The one exception being that he definitely asks Desuhiko about his opinions on the ethics of clone fucking at least once! His body and face are of course now carbon copies of Desuhiko's now instead of Yuma but I found that keeping his long hair a shade of blonde worked much better then the dark browns I was initially considering. His outfit is kinda a combination of Dazai and Chuuya's from Bungo Stray Dogs. Bolo tie, waist coat, jacket over the shoulders... the resemblance was unintentional but hey! Happy accidents! Made some alterations to his mask too - mainly I gave him red pikachu cheeks as well as a different nose shape. The thing I'm most excited about though are his earrings. They're basically just cattle tags that say "001" because of course the people who'd first created him wouldn't see him as anything more then just an animal - if not less then. Don't fret, though, these aren't stuck on him! He got a custom pair of earrings resembling the tags made as a sort of way to reclaim his origins. After all, earrings are cheaper then therapy!

For the record, I think it's important to say that I haven't played any of the rain code dlcs yet. I've been holding off on watching them on YouTube for like... 10 months now... cuz I really wanna play them myself. I'm hopefully getting them in a couple weeks time but this is a disclaimer that I know Yakou's wife shows up at one point but I have absolutely no idea what happens with her. All I know is that she doesn't have an official name cuz otherwise, I'd have been able to find that out on Google I think-

I think I'll take a few days break from drawing now since I've posted daily for over a week- I can feel the burn out brewing so I'm stopping while I'm ahead lol- maybe I'll focus on writing instead. :>

Working Title: Lato enamored me with his penchant for violence and extremely polite speech but the designs were so banging that I had to illustrate my silly experience playing this weird but very loveable game. Fennesz is here for moral support.

Obsession at First Mention

I looked at the red flag Berrian gave us and went "Oh okay. So I'm a bull now ig" It did not help that his design is so memorable but all the butlers have super distinct designs that have so much character packed into them. TBH I think my favourite design goes to Fennesz, the butterfly motif is enchanting and the way his outfit both matches and clashes against Haures is so fascinating.

(We will not talk about how I struggled so hard drawing Berrian. Bro should not be that difficult to draw)

AkuNeko having the choice to play either as a female or male Master is peak actually?? Like it changes nothing lol but just having that option is so good. I use Boku and Watashi as my Japanese personal pronouns of choice so reading the Master option as Ore was jarring www I'm just a polite liddol guy, pwease

I did like the village scene tho. Ammon is probably the character I've changed my opinion fastest about, he's just doing his best and a little bit of an idiot about it. I will hear no slander about him.

I like to cycle between Fennesz and Lato on my homescreen but whoever is on there is wearing a dress either way. I did indeed use screenshots to build the base of the last photo but one day I really do want to sit down and just try and learn the AkuNeko art style bc its so distinct and the colours pop so well while staying with the gothic aesthetic.

Muu is cute methinks. Not as annoying as other mascot characters but theres a lot of potential for him to grow in the story! I hope we get to see him grow up to be a wonderful butler ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

I honestly wasn't expecting to like AkuNeko all that much. I only really got into it because of the stageplay so to realize that the game is just as fun and the art is something I could definitely see myself trying to learn is really nice. The features like the study and stretches is also weirdly helpful? I've been using it every so often and setting up my own 15 min writing sprints with Lato breathing down my neck the whole time is actually kind of funny.

Will I continue playing? Who knows. The fact that my reading comprehension has improved by leaps and bounds since I downloaded the game is irreverent

Hey just wanted to say I sawr the new persona design and I really like it it is cool

YAYY the main two reasons I redesigned my persona is that A, coloring was terrible. my design was made when I was like 14 and was optimized for doodles on homework, which means that whenever I wanted to color them, figuring out where their hair ended and the skin began was a big issue and it's also a very weird one? the second one was that my persona was literally just. the outfit I wore every day in middle school until my jacket became a safety hazard I don't really remember what happened but my parents had to take it away because I didn't understand that I couldn't continue to wear my favorite safety hazard

also it was a hoodie not a jacket it did NOT HAVE A ZIPPER. MY OLD COLORED DRAWINGS OF ORI HAD GENUINE ACCURATE COLORING TO THE IRL HOODIE I DID MY DAMN BEST TO REMEMBER WHERE THE COLORS WERE. LOOK AT THIS THE ONLY INNACCURATE THING ON THIS HOODIE IS THE THREAD THINGS I PUT ON THE POCKET FOR PIZAZZ

it was actually really difficult to even make the decision to remake my persona since oris like a little time capsule, I made them before I found out I was trans, before I realized I probably had ADHD and DID, while I was in the thick of depression, and Ori was my little light that got me through that and the only change they ever got was a haircut. but they just weren't me anymore, my growth as a person pernamently changed that. ALSO I HAVE GLASSES AND ORI LOOKS TERRIBLE WITH GLASSES TRUST ME

anyway, so after finally making that decision whatever, I went through a bunch of designs, here's a few of them

I really like crop tops in general but they just don't fit my vibe unfortunately :/ I really liked that cape design because I wanted my persona to be like, recognizable?? but uh. way too much superhero vibes. as you can see, I really either wanted slippers or high boots, and I really wanted gloves, but it just wouldn't work with long sleeves. I was torn between pj's since that's. that's literally just what I wear most days with a hoodie on top of it, and nerd since it really did feel like it represented how I like to appear online [despite what I nicknamed it lmao I take pride in my stupid obsessions]! eventually I came up with a compromise, adding in the future-tech esque glasses from the superhero design, which was just the best option in general

like Ori has those weird flop ears, so I just thought it made sense to have the earpiece thing go *over* their floppy ear, rather than pretend they have some sort of human ear under that, and it still gives me a pretty big area for oris goofy expressions, even if the expressions don't quite have the same room they used to. I also went through like 50 different color variants, including messing around with the possibility of making the star stickers match bowtie variants

you can also tell that the idea to add stars and the bowtie was actually a last minute thing, I woke up the next morning and decided I needed a bit more pizzazz as well as more wiggle room for self expression while not constantly changing the color scheme since I'm honestly just not happy with the colors I landed on-i liked the agere flag color scheme the most, but decided it should be kept for just like, sometimes because pink is not really my color. I also keep forgetting the stars on the sleeves, oops - they're very well needed I just keep forgetting because it's a new design :]

anyway here's details about the final design I doodled up, with alt outfits, some bowtie examples and explaining some design choices. yes the slippers are from Sam and Max :] I also am getting better at drawing the cross body bag, my actual bag irl sits at hip level and is black and white but I like the brown better and that shade of brown works with pretty much any color combo. also uh, by "government assigned favorite color" I mean that like 70% of my shirts are genuinely the same t-shirt in various shades of blue. I do not go out of my way to buy these it just Happens.

Year 4 of submitting art for the SiIvaGunner Art Gallery!! >:]

For the fourth time now, I can proudly present my entry for this years SiIvaGunner Birthday Gallery! I had to put up with a lot of obstacles this year, like starting in June when I normally always started in early May, my parents and my brother visiting during the exact time frame I wanted to work on this, a crippling addiction to playing Dragon Quest Monsters and many more.

But as you can see, I really locked in at the end and finished it exactly one day before the deadline (17th June).

Now to explain my vision for this piece: I'll have to admit, since starting my new job in February, I didn't have any time to keep up with the loads of SiIvaGunner rips that are uploaded each day, since I always listened to them at my old workplace while I took care of my mountains of scientific journals. At my new job, I don't have anything to do with journals anymore. I mostly talk to students at the counter all day. Can't really listen to YouTube videos when someone wants something from you every minute. I also do a lot of things related to facility management in between (our library buildings are practically falling apart in some places...), so even when I'm not at the counter, I have way too much stuff to do to listen to rips. Sigh. Sometimes, I miss my old job.........

But I'll try my best to catch up some time in the future. At the very latest in September. My first vacation days in 7 months... Anyway, let's get back to the image at hand:

In the foreground, there's obviously my beloved dynamic duo of besties: Woodman and Nozomi. Woodman has been missing from the channel for 1 and a half years. Please bring him back. I miss my wife, Tails...

For this piece, my theme was centered around my favorite SiIvaGunner joke from the past few months (or has it been years?): The raft ride. I wanted something fun and summer-y, so I decided to put all the characters I drew in cute little sailor outfits. For Woodman, I just drew him in something simple that I thought of myself, which complimented and incorporated his usual armor.

Next we have Nozomi, who dons her outfit from μ's fifth single "Wonderful Rush". I had a few water themed outfits to chose from with her (and Honoka, for that matter), but I chose Wonderful Rush for Nozomi since it just fit with the aesthetic I was going for.

Next to those two is Coraline from the 3DS street pass game "Ultimate Angler", which is also prominently featured on the channel. For her outfit, I just modified her usual attire a little to fit in with the sailor vibe. I also turned her sun visor around because I could for the life of me not figure out how to draw it properly at this angle. Uhhh... I mean, I turned it around because I thought it looked cool.

I hope you can see that I had an absolute breakthrough in Gimp. I think I already talked about it on my Buck fanart, but I finally discovered layer modes. After 4 years of working with Gimp. Spectacular, I know. If you don't notice it here, you'll definitely notice it on the next image in queue for the robot master quest I have going on. I can already spoil you who it's gonna be this time: Tornadoman! I honestly couldn't believe what I was drawing. I think I was possessed by something for a few hours. It was honestly a little scary. But I think you'll see what I mean once you see the actual image, it's really different from the usual stuff I draw.

Getting back to the topic of this picture, let's talk about the background now. I decided to draw a little ship with lots of familiar faces making up the crew.

The ships captain is Honoka, who is standing on the very left of the deck. I took her outfit from μ's single "Heart to Heart!", which also fit into the aquatic theme quite nicely.

Right next to her, under a rainbow flag that's fluttering in the wind above them, is Aquaman. My beloved. Since I drew him into last years birthday gallery image, I decided to do the same this year. I also put a little starfish on his hat because I think it looked cute ;)

Standing epicly and mysteriously on the top of the boat is Meta Knight. I don't know if you can see it when it's zoomed out so far, but he's holding some kind of folded map in his right hand. Maybe they're looking for treasure??

And on the very right of the ship are Tito Dick and Robbie Rotten, reenacting that one famous scene from the Titanic movie.

After that, we shift our focus to the left of the image, where we can see Fluttershy flying over the island from Tomodachi Life.

Paintball headcanons 2

This one's got Kiryu, Taiga, Kaji and Umemiya but it's under the cut for everyone's sake

I started rereading the manga and totally procrastinated this T-T

Mitsuki Kiryu

-Kiryu would actually rather be playing the shooting games on his phone than paintball but he hes still a solid player I think.

-Has the sickest outfit for paintball despite never having played.

-He prefers something like capture the flag or playing the "medic" roll in a game where he can bring his teammates back up.

-If he took his partner I think he'd just adapt to however they want to play. If they want to go pretend they're John Wick he'll back them up no question, but he's also super patient for whoever is nervous or just has no idea how to play.

-Also manages to match his and his partner's outfits or at the very least accessories. There WILL be a photos showing off how cute they are and yes they will be going to the groupchat.

Taiga Tsugeura

- Tsuge-chan is probably one of the the funnest to play with. He's loud and tends to draw fire his way because of it, but honestly he's having the time of his life.

- Pulls off cool stunts and rolls like he's in an action movie. If he has a partner who goes wild and wants to be John Wick like I was saying before? Now there's John Wick and Rambo running around and it's chaos.

- His stamina's insane so he's the type that can play for hours without a break. Loves that it's a good work out (me too).

- Tsuge forgets for a moment his partner is with him and leaves them further behind than he'd like but apologizes profusely if they get hit because of it. Coos and worries over bad bruises his partner might get afterward and has a full medkit in his bag. He definitely babies them after seeing them sore and offers to carry them even if they weren't hit anywhere near their legs.

Ren Kaji

- He has a special playlist for paintball (and pretty much every event you can think of.)

-Uses gum/smaller candy instead of lollipops because its easier with a mask. Won't share it with anyone unless it's his s/o.

- I feel like he'd be THE paintball monster everyone's afraid of going one on one with. If Kaji was the predator in a Predator vs. prey event everyone's screwed tbh no one will make it out alive unless everyone gives their 100% with teamwork and strategizing.

-If he takes his s/o, they stay completely safe for the entire game and literally no one can get near them. Guard dog privileges are many and he'll share a headphone with them if they wanna listen to music with him.

-Probably parkours around the fields like spiderman.

Umemiya Hajime

- Usually the President his team tries to keep safe. Isn't given a gun if he IS in the president's role cause it'd be too unfair an advantage.

- He praises people even on the other team if they do something super impressive or gives them advice when they're struggling. Never takes it too seriously and will not let anyone get hurt.

- When he plays normally, he tends to move around from place to place checking on everyone. Calls his shots and his accuracy is damn near professional.

-Definitely got shot because he stopped to look at the wild plants if they're playing in actual fields/woods.

- If his partner is with him he doesn't mind being on opposite teams but won't shoot them even if he's the last one on his team standing. He's super sweet and unfortunately for him, they can distract him just by being present which can also get him tagged without noticing it.

🍰 Some fake Kouko collab cafe dishes! More info and explanations under the cut! 💚

I've watched Emirichu for quite literally years, and (not so) recently she's started posting Anime Collab Cafe content! Safe to say I'm a tad obsessed LMAO I've been in love with Dungeon Meshi for a while, so seeing that there was a Collab Cafe for that made me lose my MIND over how much love and care was put into it! o(≧▽≦)o

HOWEVER. It reminded me that there was actually an Inuyasha Collab Cafe made a while back! And as a person who loves food and seeing what stuff collab cafes come up with, I figured why not make my own hypothetical drink and dishes! I've never seen anyone else do this with an OC, but I thought it would be a blast! It was wonderful practice to try and draw more semi-realistic food! („• ᴗ •„)

I tried to mimic how the menus I saw for the official Inuyasha collab cafe while adding my own little style, and I think it turned out pretty nice!

So here they are!

Kouko's lavender and blackberry milk tea, The Lover's Stew, and the Loyal Steed cheesecake!

I wanted a drink, a savory food, and a dessert, and I had just the idea for all of them!

🧋 - Kouko's drink is a lavender and blackberry flavored Milk tea! It has a pleasant ombre from a light blue down to a dark indigo because of blackberry boba pearls!

I also noticed that some of the drinks had these paper bits wrapped around the center, and that lent itself perfectly to Kouko's waist scarf, so of course that's in there! I gave her a unique glass shape, that tapers out from the middle to be wider at the top, to reference Kouko's build being more top-heavy and muscular, because I thought that might be a really cute detail. ( ´ ꒳ ` )

I could go on for hours about each aspect and why I added the specific flavors, but I won't yap on for too long, we still have two dishes to talk about!

🍲 - Naturally, the best idea for the savory dish was the stew that Kouko gave to Inuyasha that kicked off them becoming friends! (Foreshadowing for my next planned art piece? 👀)

I usually describe it as a soup, but honestly, I think it's way more fitting that it'd be a stew! (And yes, there's a difference LMAO) So the lover's stew would be a hearty beef and potato stew! Not entirely canon-accurate to the story, but it'd undeniably be tasty. It's the thought that counts. It's something simple, but really warm and filling!

I referenced the Tentacle & Kelpie Stew from Dungeon Meshi to get the nice warm energy I wanted, since all the food art in that show is gorgeous and makes you feel such emotion by just looking at it, and I really do think it turned out beautiful!

🍰 - And last but not least the Loyal Steed Cheesecake! You KNOW I had to add something with Aiko and Kouko, since her horse is so important to her, even if I don't draw them together often, because horses are absolute nightmares to draw LMAO

I will admit, this was the hardest one to do! (¯▿¯')

I had had a pretty easy time with the other two, but I flip flopped a lot with the cheesecake. I went from a peach cheesecake to try and get a sunset ombre effect, to a matcha one with a wafer of her and Aiko stood on top to look like she's on a nice cliffside, before settling on the blue and green one with what's probably a chocolate or wafer in the shape of her riding Aiko on it, so look like they're walking along some scenery! The little whipped cream dollops on the top could be seen as clouds, which is really cute, to me. ( = ⩊ = )

My biggest idea was the cute plate layout, with the small cocoa dust hoofprints leading to the slice, which I just couldn't get rid of!

Also, this is one of the only times you'll be seeing Kouko in anything resembling a maid dress. I decided to put her in a cute frilly apron over a sleeveless version of her kimono outfit! (Because if the guns aren't out, what are we doing? LMAO)
